Meet Jeanene, our eleventh MOMumental Mom of the week.

Name: Jeanene

City: Frisco

Marital Status: HAPPILY married

Mom to: 10 year old son, Will and 9 year old daughter, Hope.

Occupation: Full-time MOM, laundress, maid, chef (actually more like a person who warms things up in the oven and microwave!), taxi driver, concierge, fun-FRIEND, congregant, pumpkin patch worker and part-time paralegal/office manager.

What was the last movie you saw and what did you think about it?
The Women with a group of my long-time girlfriends.  Movie was cute – would LOVE to have Annette Benning’s wardrobe (and her HAIR COLOR!!!!) from the movie and continue to wonder what Meg Ryan was thinking with those lips…

What is sitting on your bedside table right now?
How to Heal Your Life by Louise Hay.  VERY interesting …

What is the last thing you told your children that your own mother told you when you were a kid?
“Because I said so …”

What was the last meal you cooked from scratch and when?
You’re kidding, right?

What was the best piece of parenting advice you got?  Who gave it to you?
The airline steward people when they tell you to put YOUR oxygen mask on BEFORE your children.

What are three products that you could not live without (e.g., your journal, your Blackberry, your facial moisturizer – anything you use constantly!)
Mascara, hair volumizer and my computer.

If you could put one product on the market that doesn’t exist today, what would it be?
A thick plexiglass screen that pops up between the front and back seats of your car/van/SUV so that you can SEE your children, but not HEAR them…

What do you do in your “me”-time?  How do you protect it?
Sleep.  I don’t have to work too hard to protect it because everyone in my house knows how cranky I get without it!

How are you different today than you thought you’d be at this point in your life?
The life that I live right now I only dreamed about when I was younger.  I am definitely living the fairy tale that I dreamt about when I was younger (with LOTS of reality thrown in that I never even knew about back then!).

If an expectant mother asked you “what it’s like to be a Mom”, what would you tell her?
There truly are no words to describe it all.  There are some days that the things I would tell her would scare her to death (they scare me too!) and there are other days when I just want to cherish every second.  I guess that would be it – CHERISH every second because like it or not, it all goes too quickly (although sometimes we are VERY thankful that particular seconds go quickly!).
